Ir. Che Mohammad Nizam Bin Che Kamaruddin is an accomplished professional with over 20 years of expertise in occupational safety and health. He previously served as a Senior Assistant Director at the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Malaysia, where he played a pivotal role in advancing safety standards through approval, inspection, and consultancy services across various industries.
Ir. Nizam is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, a Master of Science in Industrial Safety and Health from Universiti Malaysia Pahang, and an Advanced Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
With a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, Ir. Nizam possesses extensive knowledge of international standards such as ASME, ASTM, BS, ANSI, EN, API, and TÜV. He is a Certified ASME VIII Division 1 Pressure Vessel Inspector. His wide-ranging expertise encompasses occupational safety and health, approval and inspection of static equipment, consultancy, pipeline services, plant and power generation systems, energy, process engineering, research and development, and EPC consultancy. He has demonstrated exceptional skills in designing, developing, and testing engine and equipment components, managing and coordinating projects, conducting benchmarking studies, and performing market analyses.
A passionate advocate for workplace safety and health, Ir. Nizam actively supports industry advancements through his involvement in key initiatives. He is a dedicated committee member of the Malaysian Steam and Internal Combustion Engine Engineer Association (MSIEA).
