Condensate Pre-heater Harp Replacement

Project                        : Major Outage Jan 2018 (Unit 40) & July 2018 (Unit 30)

Location                     : Jurong Island, Singapore

Work Title                  : Design, Supply and Install New Improved Design of Condensate Preheater

                                      EC-PR#3 Harps (Total 12 Nos of Harps)

Objectives               

i.              To improve lifetime of the components under cyclic operations in terms of the induce FAC (Flow Accelerated Corrosion).

ii          To improve reliability and eliminate unplanned outages of the HRSG on both short and long terms, resulted from HRSG tube failures.

 

Scope includes

·         Design, Supply and Manufacturing 12 nos of Condensate Preheater Harps with new improve design on enhanced stub tube bends.

·         To conduct Stress Analysis and Strength Calculation with Third Party and Singapore MOM (Ministry of Manpower) Approval.

·         Heavy Transportation and Lifting from Korea to Singapore by Chartered Barges and SMPT loader for inland transportation from port to site.

·         Preservation and Monitoring of Harps during Storage at Client’s facility prior to Installation (6 Months Interval).

·         Removal of existing ECPR# Harp and replacement with new improve design harps within 30 Days for #1 Unit Cogen.

·         To conduct full hydrostatic test and witness by MOM.

HRSG Inlet Flow Improvement

Project                        : Malakoff Prai Power Plant –Major Outage July 2017 HRSG Scope

Location                     : Prai, Penang, Malaysia

Work Title                  : Design, Supply and Install of Flow Corrective Device (or others called FDD:

Flow Distributor Device) for HRSG Inlet Flow

Objectives               

      i.        To improve flow distribution for the HRSG inlet by eliminating the uneven flow towards the HRSG tubes.

    ii.        To design, fabricate and install a Flow Correcting Device (FCD) assembly that shall be able to withstand the varying exhaust flow from the gas turbine.

   iii.        To improve reliability and eliminate unplanned outages of the HRSG on both short and long terms, resulted from HRSG HPHTSH tube failures.

 

Scope includes

·         CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Study.

·         Stress Analysis and FEM (Finite Element Analysis) Sturdy.

·         Engineering and Detail Designs.

Location                      : LUMUT Power Plant, Pentai Remis, Perak, Malaysia

Work Title                   : HRSG Inspection Training for Power Plant Engineers

                                         (Classroom and on-site Training)

 

Objectives                 

i          To familiarize HRSG and its issue for MALAKOFF’s new maintenance and operation engineers.

ii         To train coal fired boiler engineers to be able to conduct for the HRSG inspection and

           not depending on the external inspector.

 

Scope includes

·         HRSG Introduction.

·         Planning for HRSG inspection

·         HRSG Failure Case Study

·         HRSG Design Practice Review for MALAKOFF’s HRSG.

·         Short and Long Term Preservation

·         Inspection at HRSG internal and external areas such as among others, HRSG inlet duct, header and tube, modules, upper and lower dead (or Crawl or hot) space, stack, steam drum, attemperator (desuperheater), external piping and supports, roof and casing support structure and etc.

·         NDT techniques and measurement for HRSG inspection
